Amos Jr. was born
the eldest son of Amos Sr. and Pearl on September 1, 1933 in
Birmingham, Alabama. After high school he went into the Army
where he served a tour of duty in the Korean war. He married
LoGrant White on October 18, 1956 and together they raised five
children in their home in Carson, California. During this time
he served two consecutive tours of duty in the Air Force and
one more tour of duty in the Army before deciding to take up
civilian work with the Army Corp of Engineers. Amos past away
on April 10, 1993 and is buried at Riverside National Cemetery
in southern California. He is survived by his wife, LoGrant,
of 36 1/2 years, his five children (two sons & three daughters),
and five grandchildren.
